PROFILE INNOVATIONS AT INTERFACES The Fraunhofer Institute for Inter facial Engineering and Biotechnology IGB develops and optimizes processes, plant s, produc t s, and technologies for the business areas of health, chemistr y and process industr y as well as environment and energy. We offer our customers research and development (R&D) along the entire material value chain, complemented by a broad range of analysis and testing ser vices. A s a result, we are a strong par tner for industrial companies and small or medium -sized companies in a wide range of industries, as well as for municipalities and special-purpose associations and for the EU, federal and state contract research. Application-oriented and interdisciplinary Competences Our overriding goal is the translation of scientiic and engi- neering research results into similarly economically eficient and sustainable processes and products for industrial applica- tion. Our strength lies in offering complete solutions from laboratory to pilot plant scale.
